The Embassy of Colombia in Washington will be hosting a screening of Colombia: Wild Magic (Colombia: Magia Salvaje), the most viewed movie in Colombian history, at the Grosvenor Auditorium at National Geographic on January 19.

Screening of ‘Gabo: The Creation of Gabriel García Márquez’
On December 2, the Embassy, in collaboration with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and Caracol Televisión, will present the movie, “Gabo: The Creation of Gabriel García Márquez.” Directed by Justin Webster, the film is a documentary about the life and work of Colombian Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez. Ambassador Pinzón Meets Fundación Changó Students in Washington
On October 27, student members of the Fundación de Música del Pacifico Changó met with Ambassador Pinzón. The students traveled to the United States as part of a cultural exchange program coordinated through the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sports and Cultural Diplomacy program and the U.S.-Colombia Action Plan on Racial and Ethnic Equality.
Ambassador Pinzón Hosts Farewell Reception for SOUTHCOM General Kelly
On October 22, Ambassador Pinzón hosted a farewell reception for retiring General John F. Kelly, U.S. Marine Corps Commander, U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). During the reception, Ambassador Pinzón presented General Kelly with the Colombian Order of San Carlos, and General Kelly presented the Ambassador with the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service.
